First, get rid of all those sad little blush brushes...they’re just not happy!
The best tools will make a huge difference. Our Pointed Raccoon Blush Brush, is one of our featured brushes. This brush is rocking! It rules the world of blushes. The bristles are denser with a flat, oval, tapered cut head.
Blush Tips...
1. Apply directly on the cheek-bone and...
2. move upward toward the temples, to give the appearance of a healthy tone. Careful, the smaller head will pick up more minerals. Color will be deposited exactly where you want it.
3. In Style Magazine, offers a great trick to find the best blush color for your cheeks: when they are flushed after exercise or being out in the cold. While this is generally true there is another method that you may have used or seen someone use: “spank” (lightly tap) your cheeks.
2-Tone Blushing
2-tone blushing is a must, especially if you tan. We are looking for dimension with color, a lower base tone with a higher light tone, a kiss of extra color.
1. Apply foundation, eye color & lipstick/gloss. Blush is your 2nd to last step before your finishing powder.
2. Look into the mirror & smile. This will show the true apple of your cheeks. Tap off your mineral, light touch, and brush on the apple of cheeks. (brush/tap)
3. Maintain the same direction with brushing, in order to avoid stroke marks. Keep the color light & blended. Remember you can always build intensity with elea blake’s pure minerals.
C-Shape Shading
Try different ways of shading with 2-tone blushers. C-Shape Shading accents the eyes & provides a quick face lift effect (use brushes #4 or #5).
1. Apply a sheer highlighting in a c-shape from your temples to your cheek bones. Continue toward the center of your brow bone & arch. Somewhat like a parenthesis on either sides of your eyes.
2. Take nice easy strokes in the same direction. Going in circles causes steaks. Apply lightly as you may build color intensity with another stroke.
